Following the Med cruise in 1969, we were in the Boston shipyard for a time. Does anyone remember the dates of this yard stay?

Hi,
Our local paper just had a letter to the editor about the attack on the USS Liberty in 1967. I remember hearing that the USS Brownson helped to rescue the crew and I was wondering if anyone had any information on this.

My father was on the USS Brownson. His name is George Kenton Shaw. He was the ship's barber. Are there any sailors out there who know him?
